Lovely and soft, seams are flat. If buying for a child with big issues about bumps and dents in socks it may not be enough to stop the outbursts as there are still 'dimples' on either side of the seam, but if buying for improved comfort these do the trick. Slightly reddish grey colour, but not a problem for us. My daughter likes them so much she says she doesn't mind bumps in socks anymore because these feel so comfortable.
